Visit Prague Pride this upcoming pride season as it has great programs, cheap beer and the largest Gay Parade in Eastern Europe
Prague Pride, the biggest LGBT festival of Eastern Europe, returns this summer with more love, more parties, and more English-friendly events. The 8th annual LGBT festival will be held from Monday, August 6th to Sunday, August 12th 2018.

The Gay Parade will dance throughout the city on Saturday, August 11th. Prague Pride takes place outside the traditional Pride month of June, giving people another chance to enjoy the rainbow season.
Prague Pride 2018 will continue to run for 7 days and will offer over 100 events. One of program highlights will be a music show with international stars and hits from 90s till present. Dance Divas show will present Heather Small, a voice of M People (with her famous hit PROUD), Dara Rolins, queen of Czech dance music who cooperated with Kylie Minogue and Kool and the Gang, and Debbi, Czech-German singer with English repertoire and special LGBT support song. The open air event will take place at Fountain Vystaviste Praha, VIP zone with free bar and chill out zone is available.
On Saturday at noon, the Gay Parade begins to stride for love and equality. The parade starts in the historical city center and ends in Pride Park, located in the Letna public park overlooking Moldau river with numerous bridges. There the celebration continues with three music stages featuring international mainstream, young Czech pop stars and underground DJs and playing until 10 pm. The day concludes with a Pride Official Afterparty - Dirty Dirty Dancing #4 located in a Prague based exciting outdoor area.
In 2017, over 80.000 people took part in Prague Prides week of events, with 35.000 in the Parade. Out of all the participants, a third were international. Prague Pride is more than just a weekend holiday for our abroad guests with community activities running throughout the week in Pride Village. Some of the events there include: a performance by a glorious London drag queen Kara Van Park, a vogue dance battle, and a whole day devoted to equal marriage. On Thursday, the Pride Voices talk show will introduce international LGBT personalities such as Gery Keszler, a founder of Vienna%u2019s famous Life Ball, a British HIV activist Philip Baldwin, or Slovak dancer Jaro Vinarsky.
Since love is universal, Prague Pride continues to cater to an international audience. We are happy to announce that all public discussions and lectures will be fully translated into English in one of three conference rooms in Pride House. Prague Pride isn%u2019t just a celebration; it is a way to stand up for LGBT rights in Czechia. Currently, an equal marriage campaign is running in the country that introduced registered partnership in 2006.
Being a gateway to the East, Prague is a steady mixture of the Wests open-mindedness with an atmosphere of a former post-communist state. One can do as they please, however, the LGBT citizens do not have the right to love and marry as they choose. For international tourists, however, Prague is a safe and welcoming place and they can fully enjoy the LGBT festival without any harassment nor police presence.
