Thailand: Airport immigration fast-track lane opens up to gay couples
Same-sex couples who have visiting Thailand in february could be pleasantly surprised, as Bangkoks main airport has opened up premium lanes to fast-track couples through immigration.
As part of a campaign by the countrys tourism board, Bangkoks Suvarnabhumi, New International Airport, is to contain premium lanes which will allow gay couples to skip queues at immigration.

The campaign, named Amazing Thailand, Amazing Romance, according to Fridae, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, aims to enable couples, straight or gay, traveling together to expedite their arrival in Thailand.

The statement, published by AfterMarriage reads: Couples who visit the %u2018Amazing Thailand, Amazing Romance counters can register for the premium lane and avoid traffic at immigration%u2026.

Once registered, travelers will be given pink heart-shaped stickers with the Amazing Romance logo, which will entitle the holders to use the premium lane for a fast track through the immigration process.

Registrants also will be given key chains with the Thailand tourism mascot, Sook Jai (Happiness), to welcome them to Thailand.

Thailands first transgender air stewardesses last year took part in PC Airs inaugural flight from Bangkok to Surat Thani, after the new airline took on four transgender crew last year when hiring thirty in-flight staff.
