40th BERLIN PRIDE: MY BODY, MY IDENTITY, MY LIFE!
This is the motto of the 40th Berlin Pride with hundreds of thousands of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transsexuals, transgender, intersexuals and other queers (LGBTTIQ) hitting the streets on 28 July 2018. What started out as a small, but impressive march with 400 participants thirty-nine years ago has developed into a forceful political mass rally and a mighty beacon for freedom and human rights.

MARCH
Berlin Pride means politics and party. In order to promote diversity and ensure visibility, the march features two blocks: one for walking groups and rather silent vehicles and a loud one for the big bassy trucks. However, participants without a set of wheels can spontaneously join the demo wherever they like. The Opening of the legendary Berlin Pride March starts at 12:00 on the famous Kurfürstendamm. Between 15:00 and 17:00, it reaches the location of the closing rally: the Pride Finale in front of the Brandenburg Gate.
FINALE
In the early afternoon, the Pride Finale starts on Straße des 17 Juni between the Victory Column and the Brandenburg Gate. The Pride Finale is a huge festivity with a political focus. It offers lots of stalls, several stages and a diverse program mixing culture, politics and music. The Finale is a magnet for all Pride visitors serving as the closing rally of the demo.
